What do sea turtles, scrub jays, and radio signals from Jupiter have in common?

A man and his brother... their family... an ethic...and a tiny cabin in the Ocala National Forest on the edge of Florida's Big Scrub.

A "Friends of the Carr Cabin" has been established to spearhead the restoration efforts, with the cooperation of the U.S.F.S. Additionally, an interpretive nature trail is being planned that will allow visitors to walk the surrounding flatwoods and scrub. Signage and trail head kiosks will help explain the landscape, as well as the influence the experience had on the family.
